My name is Devam Dhunnoo. I am solo founder of Pipps and co-founder of Avara. If ever you need to talk to me, you can talk to me in Mauritian Creole, English or French. I do understand a bit of Hindi and some words in Spanish such as hola, como estas ahaha. I hate reading books but I do read because it helps me to stop using my phone. Funny enough I even wrote a small book as a joke called The Art Odyssey of Being Odd.

Mauritius is without a doubt a beautiful island, but what has happened in the past years is really concerning. Corruption rate is very high. Drugs — youngsters on drugs. So yeah.
I really wanted to go into politics before, to change that — like every politician says. But I know if I go into it there will be a situation where hands get dirty, and I don't want regrets on my death bed. So I don't follow it anymore. // but writing this makes me think about it ahaha.
Whatever happens — Mauritius will always be home.
KL was not the country of my choice.
I wanted Europe — the European dream, you know, build there. But if I did that, I would not be who I am today. Pipps would not exist. Avara would not be the level it is now. The friends I made would not be here. // so yeah.
And if you gave me 30 days, no obligations? A very remote place close to nature. Most probably Palawan. To recentre.
Tbh, I always thought I shaped myself. I don't think so anymore.
My parents shaped my good manners and my respect. That part of me is theirs.
APU shaped me in building Pipps and getting some knowledge. I hate this uni — but it made me who I am today.
My friends made me strong — from the past bad experiences. The friends I have now, I know I can count on for life.
Monaco taught me money is really a fiction. Someone will always spend more, drive better cars, wear better watches — and still be grounded.
The books told me how laws of attraction and vibration work, how people behave. Good Vibes Good Life, Atomic Habits, The Subtle Art, Mastery.
The songs shaped my motivation and my sadness. Dean Lewis when it rains. Techno when it builds. Jazz when it settles.
Genuinely — a specific person. My partner in Avara. We started as Upthinking, then rebranded. That is the person that changed everything.

It's not about money tbh. I really love and enjoy helping people, even if I put myself last and suffer — I am mentally strong enough to handle it and reposition myself. Building Pipps will help society: plenty of jobs, and I don't want only AI doing it. I want it to actually help people in their life. They can earn better and have a goal.

Never thought I would. Then Malaysia happened. Now I cook, I enjoy it, and I appreciate the dish even more. Learning to cook is a skill I'm glad I learned.
I respect people's time. But I'm human — so yes, sometimes I'm late. I do my best to be on time or early.
Discipline, yes. But also: I want to look good in the clothes I wear, and when I see myself I say wow, nice physique. Very bad calves genetics — I still train them, I do hit legs. And I'm already successful: I'm happy, I know my direction, I'm healthy, and most importantly — I'm alive.
